fabulous fun-filled live music for babies and young children
Flexible and fun guitar lessons with Harry!
My approach to teaching guitar playing and musicianship focusses on enjoyment, encouragement and motivation. I believe that the most important job I can do as a teacher is to inspire my students to want to keep playing – the more you enjoy it, the more you play and the more you keep learning!
Learning to play guitar from a young age has so many more benefits than just developing a new skill. In a world of instant gratification from video games, YouTube, and the pull of social media, investing time and energy on an instrument can be greatly rewarding.
With young children, my approach to teaching varies depending on the goals of the parents and the pupil. This could be anything from learning RSL Rockshool grades for GCSE Music to exploring whatever songs the student likes week by week. Often pursuing the music they truly love develops a deeper passion for the instrument and helps them see the benefits of learning in a more formal framework later on. Alternatively, we just make-up fun songs ourselves, and we don’t even realise we are practising chord changes!
